Who is DJ Intel?

Born near Chicago during the formative years of Hip Hop, Jason Deuchler—better known as DJ Intel—has spent decades developing a sound rooted in turntablism, hip hop, and underground dance music.

Intel began honing his skills on his brother’s turntables and mixer in the 1990s, drawing inspiration from Chicago DJ legends like Tone B. Nimble and Jesse de la Pena. From house parties and B-boy battles across the Midwest to major festival stages, his career has evolved alongside the music itself.

Today, DJ Intel is primarily focused on bass-driven music, with a sound that moves through drum & bass, jungle, breaks, and other high-energy styles. His sets combine technical turntablism with deep knowledge of hip hop and electronic music, creating a dynamic sound built for both dance floors and festival stages.

Intel has shared the stage with an eclectic roster of artists spanning hip hop and electronic music, including Dieselboy, Craze, Flowdan, Hedex, Lupe Fiasco, Afrika Bambaataa, Wu-Tang Clan, ?uestlove, DJ Qbert, Amon Tobin, Calvin Harris, Nero, and The Prodigy.

His recent appearances include North Coast Music Festival 2026, while his work has also taken him to major events including Lollapalooza, Whatever, USA, Spring Awakening, and SXSW. He has held residencies throughout Chicago and performed for everything from B-boy battles and club nights to charitable events, fashion shows, and major brand activations for Adidas, Red Bull, TOYOTA, AT&T, and Microsoft.

Adding to his radio credentials, DJ Intel was featured as a guest mix DJ on LL COOL J’s Rock The Bells Radio, further cementing his connection between classic hip hop culture and the modern bass-music landscape.

From the Midwest Hip Hop scene of the ’90s to today’s drum & bass and jungle movement, DJ Intel continues to push the turntables forward—bringing decades of experience, technical skill, and a genuine love for bass-heavy music to every set.
